Greaves Third In Under-21 Final

Greaves Third In Under-21 Final

Greaves who finished in fourth place in last year's final was determined to go one better this time around and finished third behind overall winner Robert Lambert with Connor Mountain in third and afterwards the South Yorkshireman was thrilled with his night's performance.

He added: "To score 12 points in a top field like this is great and I'm pleased with how I rode tonight. I have suffered with rain-offs so far this season and needed more time on the bike but I've felt better over the past few meetings and tonight is reward for the handwork put in by everyone.

"Naturally I would have liked second but a spot on the rostrum is great and fair play to Robert (Lambert) who was flying tonight and deserved the win."

ood place to come," Greaves said.
"I was aiming to get on the rostrum because I finished fourth last year so I've gone one better than that.
"It could have been better with second or first of course but I've improved on last year so I'm happy.
"Fair play to Robert though - he was awesome."
